Cambodia is a kingdom of wonder, which has a lot of ancient temples every where else and its natural resources. Many temples still hide in the dense jungles, some still in the land mines areas, since 2000 Angkor Advisor Travel Guides planed to research every where in Siem Reap and around Cambodia privately. An ancient Khmer Society had developed the large empire and built many huge temples Hinduism and Buddhism, especially, they developed their trade, economy, and product. Recently, Angkor Advisor Team found the ceramic kiln who people produced very good quality ceramic pots, cooking pots, water pots that used during Angkor period. The ceramic kilns had found already at Tany, Bakoung, Khnar Por, Sor Sei and Anlong Thom, but recently we found ones at Toap Chhey villages. This best quality product of ceramic in Angkor period. Angkor Advisor Team found many temples already such as Svay Chek (Prasat Phnom Bei, Khpop and its neighboring temples, in 2000), Donlong (Prasat Banteay Khyorng in 2002), Trapeang Pong village (Prasat Wat Prasat with its neighboring temples, in 2007) and many more not mentioned. It is one village, commune in Angkor Thom district and Siem Reap province that located around 22 km at the north west
of Siem Reap. The situation of people here mostly is looking poorer than other people in other villages. So this village has many ruins and reservoirs that supposed to be for agriculture in that time , according to the civil war in Cambodia 30 years, this place was forgot, no one there because of landmines and bad roads. Mr Man Poeun is a communal consultant, can explain you about the temples here and guide you safely to Prasat Phnom Bei, Prasat Khpop, Prasat Srah Loa, and Prasat Sampov. If you reach there, you are seeing more spectacular landscapes of country sides and you may spend for one day-trip there.
Prasat Phnom Bei is located on the summit of Phnom Bei with three bricks sanctuaries which surrounded by wall and huge moats. This temple was built in the reign of king Rajendravarman II, at the end of 10th century, and dedicated god Vishnu,. During the war the bandits stole the large standing statues of god Vishnu here. A few years ago, Angkor Conservation took a four sided Stele from this temple and right now they keep it in this office in Siemreap. Nowadays it still remains the large statue of god Vishnu there. (Discovered in 2000)
Prasat Khpop is located at the west of Prasat Phnom Bei. The single tower took to build from sand stone, but it built from different periods, first brick towers and then sand stone, the sand stonel sanctuary still stands there with the large strangling fig that occupied around the temple tower. Nearby this, is Prasat Prei Viheara, Prasat Trayoeng.
Prasat Sampov (Ship sanctuary), this is a Dhamasala or hospital which is located near the road to Pimai or to other capital. It is a long hall approximately 15m long that linking to central sanctuary. Prasat made of laterites and the form like a ship then the people there called ship temple Sampov. Near by the temple at northwest there is an ancient bridge made of laterites. It said to be built in the reign of king Jayavarman VII (1181-1220 AD). (Discovered in 2000)
Prasat Srah Lao is the large complex at Svay Chek, similar style of Banteay Srei. It is enclosed by rampart made of bricks approximately 100m in square, which enclosed the inner moat and faced to east, the two causeways traversed at east and west sides which flanked by several stones lanterns. The east Gopura is in cruciform shape with beautiful decorations, but those decorations lied down on ground, nobody takes care them. The second enclosure is rung the complex with two libraries and three bricks sanctuaries, these sanctuaries are ruined. This temple was built in the reign of King Rajendravarman II. (Discovered in 2000)
The ancient Bridge and Prasat Prei Prasat is located around 7km at northwest of Svay Chek on the way to Srei Snom and Angkor Chum, this bridge is measuring 20mx10m with its preserved corbel arches for drainage creek. It was built in the reign of king Jayavarman VII. It contains a temple called Prasat Prei Prasat near by. The temple is in bad ruined, which was destroyed by the antique looter during the civil war. It is remaining only a few beautiful broken lintels and the bricks that came out from the towers, this temple was built in the reign of king Rajendravarman II. (Discovered in 2000)

- Trapeang Khyorng Sanctuary
This temple is located at Donlong village, Balang commune, Bakong district, Siem Reap province, at the laterite stone quarry and near valley. The temple covering by the jungle, muddy rain forests and valley. This temple occupies a round one hectares of land area with its enclosing wall made of lava stone, long halls, galleries with their fancier corbel roofs and three towers made of bricks, the central tower linked by the beautiful Mandapa with vaulted roofs. It is in Banteay Srei Art Style; it was built in the reign of king Rajendravarman II, at the late of 10th century, and dedicated to home of god Shiva. It is meaningful for study the Khmer architecture here, especially its beautiful vaulted roofs. Angkor Advisor Team guided three groups of foreign tourists to this place already. Over there, Om Oeun can guide you to the temple and she can cook good food for you, especially, roasted chicken and roasted Prahok (roasted fish paste). (Discovered in 2005)
- Prasat Toap Chhey and the ancient Kilns
It located at the Toap Chhey village, Beng Mealea commune, Svay Leu district and Siem Reap province. It has two
temples and five kilns, first temple was built in the same period Beng Mealea in which there are many ornaments and it said to be made of sand stone with enclosure, the second temple temple took to build in the same period of Bayon art style, it was a chapel hospital or Dahmasala with long hall with its monumental sanctuary, this was so called Prasat Kuk by local people. About the five ceramic kilns, the people produced the best quality ceramic pots during the 12th and 13th centuries. In 2005 Angkor Advisor Team went to research there with bad road through Chan Hea village, and many ancient bridges that took to build a long ancient road to Preah Khan Kompong Svay at Preah Vihear Province. Recent year, Kamsamet Company built the red earth road to through that place and link from Beng Mealea to Preah Khan Kompong Svay. This place is so attractive for picnic lunch near the large Teap Chhey Lake, and after you can link your trip to Ta Ong bridge or to Khvau commune for seeing peasants’ area daily lives. - Prasat Wat Prasat (Sek Tatuy)
It is located at Trapeang Pong village, Beng Mealear Commune, Svay Leu district, Siem Reap province. This temple was built in the reign of king Rajendravarman II, in the late of 10th century, dedicated to god Shiva. This a small ruin that surrounded by moat and wall, occupied itself around one hectare, the complex has many halls and two libraries, at the doorjambs have the inscriptions, at the east side there is a long causeway at the eastern side, which was built from basal stone, and its Baray locates nearby. If you reach there its environment makes you happy and change atmosphere. You are able to go only the way to Prei Chkar village and the Wat Phnom Kongha. If you reach that way ask a seller there, he or she tell you the way to the temple as soon as possible. (Discovered in 2007)
This temple is located in Wat Thnal Dach, Kravel village, Russey Lok commune, Chhi Kreng district, Siem Reap province. This is the small ruin which was built of bricks with three towers and wall. The library is very beautiful vaulted roof, at the east there is the huge reservoir. It was built in the same style of Pre Rup temple, in the 10th century. If want to go, must ask somebody at Phum O the way to the temple Wat Thnol Dach, and find Mr Troeun at Russey Lok village, he knows this temple clearly. (Discovered in 2001).
It is the name of rocky bed which consists many sculptures of gods Vishnu, Shiva and Ganesha, the god Vishnu is reclining on his Sesa or Ananta and mounts on the Garuda. The god Shiva and Uma stands in row with Vishnu. At the
small river there is the figure of god Vishnu sleeping on his Sesa. The beautiful figure of god Vishnu and Ganesha are on the rocky beds, Vishnu is on Sesa with his wife Laksmi massages his legs, one lotus flower grow from Vishnu's navel, created the form of Brahma getting on lotus, meditated and Ganesha is meditating with multi-arms opposite side of Vishnu. Nearby we can see the new Buddhist temple, which was built two years ago, if we reach in this place and then we can see many beautiful rocky beds with its view near here. It is located near foot of Kulen at the northeast, around 5km from Svay Leu on the way to Ta Siem commune, in Ta Siem village, Ta Siem commune, Svay Leu district, Siem Reap Province. You can question someone at Svay Leu, and then they bring you to that place. (Discovered in 2008)
- Phnom Chankran Roy (A hundred Stoves' mountain)
It is just a natural mountain, located at Peak Sneng village, commune, Nokor Thom district, Siem Reap province, which
consists a lot of stoves from the Nature. This place during the civil war was a large army base of Khmer Rouge. Now this place covering by the jungles, at the foot of the mountain has Toek Hu, Toek Much Waterfall and Tma Dos (Elephant rubbed the rocky bed). Beside this, we can visit Tma Pum, called the sculptures of Lingas, Vishnu and Shiva figures and very far in dense, It is too difficult to reach there, because it lack of trails to wander. If you like going there, you have to interrogate Mr. Bourn (Communal leader there) and Mr. Kott (Hunter) they will show and tell you some information a bout this place. At Peak Sneng contains many places to visit such as Wat Prei Preah, Wat Prei Cheng, and Thlek Thlok or Krah Lek Krah Lok. (Discovered in 2004)
This temple is located at Wat Tra Peang Prasat, Pumi Tra Peang Prasat village, commune, Anglong Veng district, Udormeanchey province. It consists two temples, one was built in the reign of king Jayavarman VII, and another was built in the reign of king Jayavarman IV. The large temple was built in the reign of king Jayavarman IV, made of laterite wall, three brick sanctuaries, seemed to be dedicated to trinity gods in Hindu, Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. The small one was built in the reign of king Jayavarman VII, made of laterite and sand stones; it is a form of Dhammasala or Hospital there. (Discovered in 2005)
It is located at Svay Don Keo village, commune, Pourk district, Siem Reap province, near the Northwestern corner of West Baray. This is the long bridge which linking from Angkor to Phimai in Thailand nowadays. It was built of laterite stone, approximately 70m long and 15m wide, in the reign of King Jayavarman VII. It has many corbelled arches which for drainage of large river there but is dry up nowadays. (Discovered in 2002)
- Ta Ong Bridge (at Kombor or village)
This bridge is located at Kombor or village, Kvau commune, Chhikreng district, Siem Reap province. It is a long bridge which linked from Angkor to Preah Khan Kompong Svay, that made of laterite stones with fascinated Naga balustrades and the figure of Buddha sits in the middle of the heads. This is a good preserved and well proportioned bridge, that was not yet restored or taking care. The corbel arches are very nice in condition, during the civil war this bridge had been bombed by the Khmer Rouge. This was built in the reign of king Jayavarman VII. We were around 2005, the road was so bad, only ox-cart road, and we saw several bridges which built the same period of Angkor. At this bridge we saw many ox-carts which transported the woods and a lot of bamboos grew near the bridge. And many land mines near there, last year Khamsamet Company built the basal red soil to Preah Khan Kompong Svay through that bridge. This bridge is measuring 60m long and 15m wide. (Discovered in 2005)
Kompong Kdei Bridge is situated at Chhikreng district, Siem Reap province, just 60km at the east a long national road number 6 to Phnom Penh, this is a kind of long ancient bridge, which was built of laterite stones and sand stones Nagas balustrades, This Bridge measuring around 80m long with 20m wide with fascinated corbelled arches. This bridge is very good conditioned, preserved, proportioned, scaled and was restored by French already. It is so famous one in Angkorian architecture that was built in the reign of king Jayavarman VII.
This place located near the foot of Kulen mountain, at Pumi Preah Wat Boun Than, Por Pel Commune, Sotra Nikum district, Siem Reap province. In the center of Pagoda consists a pond with the figures of Vishnu sleeps on Sesa with his consort Lakshmi and Brahm sits on the lotus flower which comes out from Vishnu's navel, nearby there four footprints of Buddha that Preah Bat Buon Than, those sculptures were gilt. (Discovered in 2004)
It is located at Pumi Phnom Hob, Kunream commune, Banteay Srei district, Siem Reap province. This place is meditating place of Buddhist monks and other Brahmins that they want to do Yoga at the rainy season for three months. On the top of mountain consists a Hindu sanctuary, which made of bricks and it was built in the reign of king Jayavarman II, in the 9th century, dedicated to Shiva. Nearby have Moving Rock "Tma Komroek" and a little spring from the rocks, beside this we can see some caves and other hermitages for Hindu and Buddhist hermits there. At the foot of mountain, there is a Buddhist sanctuary that a few monks live there with homage and altars. You may contact them then they will bring you to that place as well. (Discovered in 2000)
It is located in Sor Sei village, Khnar Por commune, Sotranikum district, Siemreap province, Cambodia. It is just 5 Km at the east of Chau Srei Vibol temple. It is a large sanctuary, hidden inside the jungle that discovered two years ago. This temple was built in the reign of king Jayavarman VI, in the late 11th century, dedicated to Shiva. The temple occupied around one hectare, surrounded by moat and enclosing walls. It consists two libraries, one tower linked by Mandapa. The road to this place seemed to be bad conditioned, difficult to reach there, just ox-cart trail through small villages. Nowadays, this temple guarded by patrimony-polices and Apsara Authority-guardians.
It is located in Chann Seima pagoda, at Chann Sor commune, Ta Touk village, Sotra Nikum district, Siemreap province. This is a small ruin, which took to built several periods. It consists five towers, but in bad ruined, it remains only low towers made of bricks and sand stones frame doors, with fascinated colonnades that flanks the door frames. It is also surrounded by moats.
